For hours now I search for you
Across chalky downs of grass
Jewels a plenty everywhere
But where are you I ask
Breathe in the air of purity
Of wild nature’s way
You’re still not here or thereabouts
Stare unblinking down all day
Look to the beech and oak trees
Help me, where to go
Ancient friends they whisper
Arms yawning rise to show
Drifting further over land
Legs rooting to the spot
Up I go regardless
You’re calling from the top
In the sky above the world
Wind stopping time and sound
I hear blue diamonds on my face
Arcing flutter to the ground
Lands on a silver tower glowing
Scent of otherworldly being
There you are on spiral steps
Your presence I am seeing
That is very beautiful Jack and I can totally empathise with those feelings.
Thanks, I was finding it hard to describe them without using tonnes of superlatives which ruined the feel.
